The Hillcrest PTA would like to extend an invitation to join our efforts on behalf of your children by becoming a member of the Hillcrest PTA.  Show your support and make your voice count as a member by voting on issues that directly affect your children, while contributing to the direction of the Hillcrest PTA.  In addition, membership in National and Illinois PTA provides us with program suggestions, guidelines and cost-effective insurance that protect our school activities.  Individual membership benefits can be found on the National PTA website:



You are welcome at our PTA meetings which are held 7:00 pm in the Library (LRC) on 9/20/17, 10/25/17, 11/29/17 (please note this meeting only will be at 8:30am in the Staff Lounge) and 1/31/18, 4/11/18 and 5/23/18 at 7pm in LRC .  And, if you would like to check our many activities and volunteer opportunities, log onto our PTA website at www.hounddogs.org


The HILLCREST PTA benefits our school and students in many ways:

  • The Hillcrest PTA spends approximately $100 per child during each school year to fund cultural arts assemblies, field trips, class parties, and educational and social programs such as Partners in Art, Childrens’ Author Fest, Field Day, Summer Math Club, Hillcrest Fest and Bingo Night.  We continue to expand our offerings such as the recent addition of Spanish classes and a running club.
  • The Hillcrest PTA keeps parents updated about Hillcrest news and events through email, Facebook, our website, and the Hillcrest Highlights monthly newsletter.
