A can’t miss parents night out that is also the PTA’s biggest fundraiser of the year, responsible for funding 75% of Academic and Social programs, like field trips, assemblies, in-class experiences, staff appreciation and more. The Game Night Committee requires an army of volunteers to help make this a night to remember (and it always is…)!

This fall, we’re channeling the best of SNL—where Mango ruled, cheerleaders chanted, and “Isn’t that special?” was a high compliment. This isn’t just an event. It’s a full-body shimmy, a head bob at The Roxbury, a ride on the wild Weekend Update desk.
Cold Open
Live from Hillcrest, it’s… Game Night on Saturday, November 1, 2025!

Commercial Break: We need sponsors & donations
Help us raise funds for PTA programs with any of the following:
- Sponsor the event by clicking here.. Business owner? Know one? Choose a sponsorship level and you’re ready to rock and roll Wayne’s World style!
- Donate an item/experience. Tickets (sports, music, theater), vacation rentals, services—or host a backyard movie night, pool party, or wine tasting with friends. Reach out to Laura Taglia (wix.laura@gmail.com)
Thanks to you and our local partners, last year we raised $35,000, with 100% of proceeds supporting PTA-organized educational programming, technology, enrichment events, and funds for students in need. That’s the kind of punchline we love.
Weekend Update: Game Night 2025 FAQ
Q. Where and when is Game Night?
Saturday, November 1, 2025 at The Community House (415 W 8th St, Hinsdale)
- 6:00pm doors open and games begin
- 7:00pm trivia starts
- 10:00pm raffle & silent auction close
Q. How do teams work?
Tables of 8 play trivia together. Come coordinated in our theme—“Saturday Night Live” (Mary Katherine Gallagher or Coneheads anyone??)
Q. No team yet—can I still come?
Absolutely. Buy a solo ticket (or a few) and we’ll seat you—ideally with parents from your child’s class. Instant community, fewer awkward small-talk pauses.
Q. When do ticket sales open—and does this really sell out?
Yes, it does. Be ready when tickets drop Sunday, October 5 at 6:00pm.
Q. How much are tickets and tables?
$60 per individual. Team hosts (aka captains) can reserve a full table (up to 8 seats) for $480 and settle up with teammates. Teachers & staff tickets are $30 (we love you).
Q. Is this ONLY trivia or are there other games?
Although Trivia is a component, this is GAME NIGHT. Bring your cash to take your chances on a variety of games around the room. All abilities are welcome whether you’re a wiz at Jeopardy or you’re more like “Sean Connery” on “Celebrity Jeopardy”.
Q. How do we raise money that night?
Ticket sales + Silent Auction + “Split the Pot” raffle + Raffle baskets + Teacher/school experiences. Basically, many fun ways to support Hillcrest.
Q. Can’t attend—how can I still help?
Our Silent Auction is online, so you can bid from the couch. Some items will open early—details coming soon. And donations (big or small) are welcome anytime.
Q. Where does the money go?
100% goes right back to Hillcrest: Partners in Art, field trips, assemblies, classroom tech, and more. Your night out = real impact.
Q. What’s the theme again?
Saturday Night Live. Start plotting SNL-inspired costumes, team name, and table flair.
Q. Food & drinks?
We’ll have an option to order food through a Lantern Pizza for your table (details forthcoming) or it’s a bring your own! All beverages (both alcohol and non-alcohol) are BYOB, too.
