Volunteer FAQ
Do I need any prior experience?
No experience is needed for any of these roles, and our outgoing chairs are here to show you the ropes!
What if I want to help but I’m short on time?
Share the load by teaming up with your spouse or a friend, or we can match you up with another volunteer so you can tag-team on tasks. The more the merrier!
Are dads welcome?
Yes, PTA isn’t just for moms! All parents, caregivers and community members are welcome to volunteer with Hillcrest PTA.
What if I want to help but I’m not sure what I should do?
We can chat about what kind of work appeals to you most (working independently at home, hands-on work in the classroom, partnering with other parents, etc.) and help match you with a volunteer role that will be the best fit. Please reach out to our Co-Presidents, Kate Jungers and Katelyn Whoriskey, who will help you find a match!
