District 58’s PTA Summer Math Club gives students a variety of fun math activities designed to keep their brains sharp all summer long. Participating students are provided with three math packets over the summer that feature a variety of fun and interesting math activities for each grade level, K-8. After students submit each completed packet, they will receive prizes and their next math packet.
1. Your first (white) Summer Math Club packet will come home in your child’s backpack during the last week of school. Each packet contains three opportunities to earn an prize: triangle, circle and star. Complete each activity within that shape to earn the prize for that shape. Earn up to three prizes for each packet! Math activities include a variety of fun options, including Math Task worksheets that are included in the packet.
2. Once you’ve completed the white packet, come to the Downers Grove Public Library (north side meeting room) during one of the sessions below to have your Math Task worksheets reviewed by a local high school student, collect prizes and take home your next packet.
3. Complete all three packets (white, green then yellow) over the course of the summer to keep your math skills sharp and earn fun prizes!
