New Family Mentors

Committee Chairs: Kerra Moeller and Alicia Sharp

Each year right before school begins, our mentor committee assigns current Hillcrest parents to mentor new incoming families as a way to welcome them to Hillcrest and guide them throughout the year. Responsibilities include:

  • Reaching out to introduce yourself and your family by email and being available to answer any questions they might have as the year gets started.
  • Helping to ensure that the new families receive all the school updates (PTA, Hillcrest & District 58) and know where to look for information.
  • Dropping off a Hillcrest yard sign at their home at the start of the school year to spread Hound Dog pride.
